But what are the differences between these two versions?

S21 vs S21+ In Terms of Design & Build

The first obvious difference between Samsung S21 and S21+ is their size. While the normal version of this family offers dimensions of 151.7 x 71.2 x 9.7 mm and the device weighs 172 grams, the dimensions of the Plus version are equal to 161.55 x 75.6 x 7.86 mm and its weight is 202 grams. This is due to the placement of a 6.7-inch display instead of the original 6.2-inch display. The resolution in both models is FHD+ and they are Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a variable refresh rate from 48 to 120 Hz.

Both phones are powered by the Exynos 2100 chipset and even their memory configuration is the same with 8GB of RAM and 256/128GB of storage. The battery capacity in the Plus version is 4800 mAh. This battery is enough to keep the 6.7-inch screen of this phone on for a whole day. On the other hand, the regular version of the S21 is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery, which seems reasonable considering its smaller display.

Behind the frame of these two phones are three cameras, which include a 12-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor. In the front, there is a hole in the center of the upper part of the display that hosts a 10-megapixel selfie camera.

Another difference between these two models is that the Plus version is equipped with Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology. It is a radio technology used for low-power, short-range wireless communications. In addition, the back frame in the Plus version is made of glass and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, while the regular version of this family uses a high-quality plastic frame. However, there is no difference in appearance between these two frames and Samsung has been able to use plastic artfully here.

Summing Up

What is the difference between Samsung S21 and S21+? If you need a bigger screen (6.7 inches instead of 6.2 inches) and you want the back of your phone to be made of glass instead of plastic, you can choose the Galaxy S21 Plus. This version is similar to the regular version in terms of technical specifications, chip, and camera. However, it has a larger battery capacity and can provide more charging.
