Step 1: Open the phone

As always, you need to turn off your iPhone 8 Plus before opening the phone and performing Apple repairs. To turn off your iPhone 8 Plus, just press and hold the power button for a few seconds.

Take a five-point screwdriver and unscrew the two screws on either side of the charging port. These screws help secure the lower part of the screen on the frame.

Take a hair dryer and heat the edges around your iPhone 8 Plus. This will soften the sealing adhesive between the screen and the frame to make it easier to remove. Take a pick and insert it into the bottom-right edge of your phone to create a groove. Then drag the pick on the bottom edge of the phone. Repeat the same for the other three edges of the phone to separate the screen from the frame.

Step 2: Separate the Screen from the Frame

Now take the four-point screwdriver and loosen the four screws that hold the protective metal plate of the connectors connected to the motherboard. With the help of pliers, remove the protective metal plate of the connectors. Take a plastic spatula and use it to separate the battery connector, touch connector, and LCD of the phone from the motherboard.

Next, disconnect the connector for the Home button and Force Touch. Now, using a three-sided screwdriver, loosen the two screws holding the protective metal base that keep the flat connector of the front camera, the proximity sensor, and the speaker of the iPhone 8 Plus safe. With the help of tweezers, remove the metal base and separate it from the phone.

Now, using a plastic spatula, separate the front camera panel, the proximity sensor, and the speaker of the iPhone 8 Plus. Now touch and LCD of iPhone 8 Plus are separated.

 

Step 3: Separate the Rear Camera

Take the three-sided screwdriver and loosen the two screws that hold the protective metal base of the iPhone 8 Plus rear camera connectors. Remove the protective metal base. Now open the two screws.

With the help of pliers, remove the metal base holding the rear camera of the iPhone 8 Plus from the frame. Take the plastic spatula and with its help, separate the two rear camera connectors that are connected to the motherboard.

Place the spatula under the rear camera and press gently like a lever to remove the rear camera from the frame. Now you can remove the rear camera with tweezers.

 

Step 4: Disconnect the GPS Antenna

At this stage, to separate the GPS antenna of the iPhone 8 Plus, it is enough to open the two four-sided screws. With the help of tweezers, take the GPS antenna and separate it from the phone.

 

Step 5: Separate the Motherboard

It’s time to separate the iPhone 8 Plus board from the frame. To access the flat connector of the volume and power buttons, it is necessary to remove its protective metal base; To do this, first, open the two screws. Remove the protective metal base.

Now take the plastic spatula and use it to separate the flat connector of the volume and power button. Continue with four-sided and two-sided screwdrivers. First, open the four-way screw and then two four-sided screws holding the Wi-Fi antenna, and finally, open the single green two-sided screw. Now you can disconnect the flat connector of the Wi-Fi antenna.

Go back to the screwdrivers. Open two screws with a two-sided screwdriver and one screw with a four-sided screwdriver. Now, with the help of a plastic spatula, separate the two connectors related to the NFC antenna and the charging connector. Then proceed to disconnect the GSM antenna connector.

Go to your toolbox and take the SIM needle. Insert the needle into the hole for the SIM card and with a small pressure, remove the iPhone 8 Plus SIM card tray from the phone and remove it. Now you can gently remove the motherboard from the phone. Finally, disconnect the Wi-Fi antenna that is still mounted on the motherboard.

 

Step 6: Disconnect the Charging Port

Take the four-point screwdriver. Open the five screws holding the charging port and the iPhone 8 Plus speaker. Then, with the help of a three-sided screwdriver, open the single screw holding the metal base protecting the GSM antenna (second picture). Take the tweezers and remove the protective metal base and the holder of the GSM antenna from the phone. Now you can remove the GSM antenna.

Open the two four-sided screws and the single double-sided screw holding the iPhone 8 Plus vibrator. Now disconnect the port of the vibrator then remove the vibrator from the phone with the help of tweezers.

Now you can remove the external speaker as well. Take the square screwdriver and use it to open the six screws. It’s time to remove the plastic base that holds the iPhone 8 Plus charging port. You can remove it with the help of tweezers.

Now take the charging port and disconnect it. Be careful as the charging port is partially attached to the frame by a special adhesive, so do things gently. The iPhone 8 Plus charging connector has been disconnected from the phone and is now ready to be replaced.
